What do you get when you roll Korean barbecue, sushi and teppanyaki into one hot spot? Chosun Hwaro & Nara Teppan. So many choices, so little time.

Guests that want the option of cooking up their own meal can choose the authentic Korean barbecue side. Seating comes with a tabletop grill to cook up your meats. All barbecue orders come with a full banchan (side dish) setup that includes spicy salad, Mandarin salad, sweet pumpkin salad, assorted pickles, japchae (stir-fry glass noodles) and white and regular kimchi. To get the best sampling of barbecue, go for the small (two-portion) or large (four-portion) combo options, depending on the size of your group. Both combos come with servings of brisket point (Black Angus beef brisket), empress and emperor’s galbi (short ribs) and pearl steak (a fattier cut of brisket), plus gyeran jjim (steamed egg) and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). The large combo comes with an additional order of prime ribeye.

The Korean menu also includes entrées and specialties whipped up by the chefs, including traditional favorites like kimchi jjigae and doenjang jjigae and entrées like baekdusan bulgogi, a marinated ribeye roll with special house sauce and the bibimbap rice dish.

On the teppanyaki side, get a front-row seat to the teppan chefs cooking up the Nara special with filet mignon, chicken and lobster; the baekdu special with New York strip, chicken and shrimp; or the halla special with scallops, shrimp and lobster. Guests can also order each protein a la carte, and there’s even a vegetarian option. All teppanyaki experiences are served with house soup, Mandarin salad, grilled vegetables, fried rice and two pieces of shrimp.

On the sushi menu, nigiri and sashimi options include big-eye tuna, yellowtail, sea urchin, fresh-water eel and sweet shrimp; specialty rolls include standout stars like the creamy crunch roll with shrimp tempura, crab stick, cream cheese, avocado, rice cracker, eel sauce and a sweet mayo sauce.

Yes, there’s a lot to pack in at Chosun Hwaro & Nara Teppan, so bring a healthy appetite and happily go home with some busted buttons on your pants!
